Chuppah Hire Sydney: Chuppah Flowers & Where to Hire the Frame

A chuppah is the canopy a couple stands under at a Jewish wedding: four posts, a roof of fabric, and open on every side. It's usually the first thing guests look at and the photo everyone keeps.
In Sydney the frame almost always comes from a hire company and the flowers from your florist, so this page covers both. Below are chuppahs we've dressed at real weddings, then the hire companies we'd point you to. We're Lime Tree Bower Florist, a Sydney wedding florist, and every chuppah on this page is one we've dressed.
Chuppah Flowers: How We Dress Them
Most chuppahs we work on are four timber posts with a fabric roof. We fix the flowers on in clusters, on a top corner or down a post, so the canopy stays open and your guests can still see you both. The three looks couples ask for most:
- One corner cluster. A single generous cluster on a top corner, trailing down the post. Light and modern, and the frame still shows.
- Two clusters. Opposite corners, one high and one lower, so the canopy feels framed from every angle.
- Fuller. Clusters on more posts, flowers at the base, and arrangements at the start of the aisle to match.

A fuller look: blue hydrangea, delphinium, thistle, yellow tulips and orchids on two posts for Sophie and Alex at Bendooley Estate, March 2025 (photos: our team).

Two single corner clusters: coral and peach roses and dahlias in Centennial Park, March 2024 (photo: Samantha Heather), and blush, pink and blue for Sami and George at Athol Hall, March 2025 (photo: Alex Carlyle Photography).
Colour follows the rest of your day: moody purple with cream, bright blue with yellow, soft coral and peach, or blush and blue. At Athol Hall, Sami and George's cluster came off the chuppah after the ceremony and went onto the gazebo for drinks.
Chuppah Hire in Sydney: Who We'd Call
We don't hire out chuppah frames, so these are the Sydney companies we've worked with, had quotes from, or that list a chuppah for hire. When you book, ask whether delivery, set-up and pack-down are included, and let them know your florist will be adding flowers so the frame goes up first.
Event Hire Services
We've worked with them at two Jewish weddings
Their range includes the Saloon canopy, made from recycled Australian fencing timber and listed on their site as a chuppah. They quote the hire together with delivery, labour and collection, and they also hire the benches, aisle runners and chairs that go with a ceremony.
Ahava Designs
We've worked with them at two weddings, including both single-cluster chuppahs above
A Sydney business that specialises in chuppah design and hire. Their range runs from a classic design with slim poles and white chiffon to rustic and floral styles, and they can add a personal roof or use one you bring.
Simply Seated
Botany
One of Sydney's biggest event hire companies. Their range includes a 4 Post Arbour and timber arbours in brown and white, and they've quoted chuppahs for our couples before. Handy if you're also hiring furniture, linen or tableware.
Timbermill
Sydney
Furniture and ceremony pieces made in their own Sydney workshop from recycled hardwood, including the Marry Me archway. They've quoted a timber chuppah for one of our couples; it isn't listed on their site right now, so ask.
Lovesick Weddings
Hornsby
Wooden and white arbours sold as a chuppah or mandap, both about two metres wide and deep. Flowers and chiffon aren't included, which suits couples who want their florist to style it.
Tumbleweed Events
Kirrawee
The Modmaple chuppah is a four-post frame made by hand from rock maple timber, with white steel sleeves at the base. Flowers aren't included.
Bennelong Event Hire
Auburn
A larger event hire company with a chuppah canopy of about 2.6 metres each way, alongside marquees, linen and tableware.
Nobody paid to be listed here. Details are from each company's own website in October 2026, so check the current range when you enquire.
Flowers for the Rest of a Jewish Wedding
The chuppah is the centrepiece, but couples usually want the whole ceremony and reception to feel like one design. Pieces we're often asked for:
- The aisle: arrangements at the start of the aisle, flowers on bench ends, or a runner leading up to the chuppah.
- The ketubah signing: a small arrangement for the signing table.
- Personal flowers: bouquets and buttonholes ready before the bedeken, if you're having one.
- The reception: long tables, tall arrangements or hanging installations, kept clear of the dance floor so the hora has room.

Chuppah clusters don't have to finish with the ceremony. We can lift them off the frame and set them on the bridal table, the bar or the entrance. Our guide to reusing ceremony flowers at the reception shows how.

Chuppah FAQ
What is a chuppah?
The canopy a couple stands under for a Jewish wedding ceremony. It has four posts and a fabric roof, sometimes a tallit, and stays open on all sides. Most Sydney couples hire the frame and have their florist add the flowers.
Do you hire out chuppahs?
No, we design the flowers. Hire the frame from one of the companies above, or use one you own, and we'll design flowers to suit it and fix them on at the venue.
Can you use our own tallit as the roof?
Yes. We've tied a couple's own tallit on as the roof before. Let us know early so we bring what's needed to fix it securely.
Can the chuppah flowers be used at the reception?
Yes. The clusters come off the frame and can go on the bridal table, the bar or the entrance, so the same flowers work twice.
How do we get a quote for chuppah flowers?
Tell us your date, venue, guest numbers and which hire company is supplying the chuppah. We'll send a tailored range estimate for the chuppah and the rest of your wedding flowers.
