Centennial Park & Centennial Homestead Wedding Flowers: Real Setups

Author: Lime Tree Bower Florist | Last Updated:

Centennial Homestead sits inside Centennial Parklands, with the Wisteria Room, the Kitchen Room and The Paddock for receptions, and a choice of ceremony spots out in the park: the Rose Garden, She Oak Grove, Pine Grove and more. We've designed the flowers for more than ten weddings in the park and at the Homestead since 2022. Here's what we've set up and what works.

Ceremony in the park

Centennial Park has several ceremony locations a short walk or drive from the Homestead. We've set ceremonies in the Rose Garden, under the trees in She Oak Grove, and in Pine Grove for a morning ceremony followed by a long lunch. Ground arrangements along the aisle and a pair of plinth arrangements suit the open setting, and they all come back to the Homestead afterwards. If it rains, the ceremony usually moves inside the Homestead, and the call is made by about 10am. Some couples push the ceremony later on a wet day.

Reception in the Wisteria Room

The Wisteria Room has a light, Hamptons feel, with bi-fold doors to the garden and wisteria over the building in spring. With long tables, we like to keep the table flowers simple, bud vases in soft tones, and let hanging floral clouds above the tables be the main moment.

Reception in the Kitchen Room

The Kitchen Room has a pitched roof with skylights and exposed beams, which are perfect for hanging clusters and pots of trailing greenery. Down below, long timber tables take low, garden-style arrangements with place cards tucked in among them.

Timing and logistics

  • Ceremony sites in the park are booked separately, with their own set-up window.
  • For a daytime wedding, we've set up a morning ceremony in Pine Grove followed by a long lunch at the Homestead.
  • Ask the venue about parking permits for supplier vehicles in the park.
  • Ceremony to reception: we pack down the ceremony flowers and bring them to the Homestead for the bridal table, entrance, lounge area or a photo spot.

Centennial Park wedding flowers FAQ

How much do wedding flowers cost at Centennial Homestead?

What happens if it rains?

The ceremony usually moves inside the Homestead, decided on the morning. We design pieces that work inside or out.
